List of GOP Senators NOT supporting POTUS, preferring to stand with the democrats

It is reported that Senator Lott has a list of 10 names of GOP senators who have elected to stand with the democrats, instead of supporting our own WAR TIME, GOP POTUS.

Coleman;

Lugar?;

Snow;

Collins;

Hagel;

and likely

Voinovich;

Smith;

Two have not yet been named (outed).

• “I do not believe that sending more troops to Iraq is the answer. Iraq requires a political rather than a military solution.” – Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan.
• “If Iraq is going to fulfill its role as a sovereign and democratic state, it must start acting like one. It is for this reason that I oppose the proposal for a troop surge.” – Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn.

• Several Republican senators are candidates for backing the resolution against a troop increase. Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine, Gordon Smith of Oregon and Norm Coleman of Minnesota said they oppose sending more soldiers.

  Republican Sens. George Voinovich of Ohio and John Warner of Virginia also might be persuaded. Warner said he supports the Iraq Study Group recommendations, which strongly cautioned against an increase in troops unless advocated by military commanders.

Howlin, I'm happy to write to anyone in support of President Bush and our troops. But my two senators are Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer, and my congresscritter is Jane Harman. None of them give a rats butt what folks like us have to say. I do enjoy pestering them, though. :)
