It is reported that Senator Lott has a list of 10 names of GOP senators who have elected to stand with the democrats, instead of supporting our own WAR TIME, GOP POTUS.
Brownback;
Coleman;
Lugar?;
Snow;
Collins;
Hagel;
and likely
Voinovich;
Smith;
Two have not yet been named (outed).
.
Republican Sens. George Voinovich of Ohio and John Warner of Virginia also might be persuaded. Warner said he supports the Iraq Study Group recommendations, which strongly cautioned against an increase in troops unless advocated by military commanders.
GREAT POST!!!
Tomorrow on C-span 3...at 10:00 am EST.
Joe Biden's committee will be having a hearing with Condi Rice as a witness.
At 1:00 PM EST...on C-span 3...will be the House, with Ike Skelton (D)..and Peter Pace as witness.
Should be interesting.
Washington Journal will be having Duncan Hunter, Dennis Kucinich, Heather Wilson, ...
Let's repeat this one more time.
The night of the 2006 elections the exit polls were reported as to the #1 issue that had decided voters votes.
It was not abortion. It was not immigration. It was not taxes. It was not gun control. It was not the economy. AND IT WAS NOT IRAQ.
It was corruption scandals.
There was no ideological statement WHATSOEVER made in that election. It was about, and only about, an avalanche of explicit criminal indictments against GOP members of Congress.
Pundits hate this. They HATE it, because this reality gives them nothing to talk about and nothing with which to meet the filing deadlines for their essays and columns, so collectively they have all decided to forget it.
Don't join them.
There may still be something postive out of this. If the hands-up crowd get their way and more troops are not deployed, maybe we will finally see more firepower used instead of police methods.
Weasley on O'Reilly......
ohh, I should have watched......would have loved to see O'Reilly smack down Weasley. The minute I see Weasley's face, I either change the station or mute the TV.
You are right, but that does not prevent the Dems and their media friends to state the opposite. They will continue to claim victory over every issue, however false their claims may be.
Thanks for the ping. I am writing to them. I'm also writing my regular response to the latest RNC request for money.
Rudy is very much FOR the likes of Alito, Roberts and his all time favorite is Scalia. You have to remember that Rudy is a BIG law& order Constitutionalist guy, when it comes to judges. He would be great on the WOT and he would work to lower taxes and reduce the size of government.
When it comes to the GOP '08 candidate, look at who can win and who will give you the most of what you want. Stop looking at the glass as being 1/2 full! Would you rather get NOTHING, than most of what you want?
Wesley was saying that we should deal directly with Iran...and that he would go over and stare into Nutjob's eyes and tell him to BACK OFF!!! LOL
He said he did the same thing with Milosevic in the Kosovo War that "he won".
You should hope for something better to come out of Iraq. Otherwise, it doesn't matter whom the GOP nominates. We agree on who we think are the only creditable candidates, that are reasonably safe choices as well. But about half of Freepers think Hunter is the white knight. And so it goes.
Idiot.
'...election exit polls.....not about Iraq...'
that's exactly what I wrote in emails to Brownback and Coleman. The lib media reported that the R's lost cause most Americans are against war in Iraq. When was the last time someone from the media spoke with you?? How do they know what "most Americans" believe? I told Coleman and Brownback, imho, the R's lost cause they did not stand united and did not stand up for what's right.....they were too busy reacting to the 'poll of the day'. Told them both, they should support the President in his efforts to protect America.
Any Republican who stands with the Democrats against the President will be remembered when the next election rolls around......and the memory will not be favorable.
That's like comparing the 5th grade bully who stole your lunch money with the mob.
I think that President Bush is on the right track, with this, but really, it's up to the Iraqis, now; in so many ways.
Thanks for the reminder. Didn't Plugs once ask a question at a recent hearing that lasted about 15 minutes?
Fancy running into you here :-)
So, the new battle cry for Dems and these turncoat RINO's is "Saddam is dead, long live Saddam"!
LOL...yes he did. You have a great memory.
He is just so much worse now that he is in the Majority, also...ugh
Seantor Wetback is far more accurate.
