I actually feel a lot more optimistic (as optimistic as a realist/pessimist can be) about the war after hearing the President lay out his vision for Iraq tonight.
To: onyx
His only choices on the form are Ohio and military areas.

Warner? He just used his last chance with me. Now I'm pissed.Wasn't he Elizabeth Taylor's bitch during her "Fat Elvis" years?
He's always been a wobbly piece of shit.

That's not true. I don't know where all those polls are coming from. I don't know ANY Republicans in South Carolina who like McCain. At all.

I am not positive but I thought I heard Kay Bailey Hutchison speak against the surge.....yesterday.
I'm so tired and angry by now I'm punchy.

I felt good after the speech...but, then to hear about all of the mischief and shenanigans that the Dems and some Rinos are going to pull...
While we are at war...while we have troops fighting for their's and our lives...it just makes me sick.

I'm glad to hear that, SP.
I want them to throw everything that they have at them, though.

Sad. After 4 years of continuous badgering the mainstream media and the Hollywood left has finally swung public opinion, and these senators would rather do what is popular instead of what is right/ Iron, that's exactly the case. We keep hearing that the "public" has turned against the war; when in fact, it's the media's continuous and continual undermining of our war on terrorism that is behind America's wounded will to win.
You have summarized the situation quite succinctly.

I do not believe that sending more troops to Iraq is the answer. Iraq requires a political rather than a military solution. Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan.

I am not positive but I thought I heard Kay Bailey Hutchison speak against the surge.....yesterday I don't think so. She was standing with Mitch McConnell yesterday when he was criticizing the dims.

Sam wants a political solution???
Well..in case he hasn't paid attention, OUR political community isn't behaving very well themselves...so how does he think that WE can show the Iraqis how to deal with this politically??
