This book and resource is not the only source for all the information about cults and especially about the cult status of the Mormon church. There is more than ample material out there which *documents* how the Mormon church is far from historic Christianity as agreed upon and accepted by all the standard and normal Christian denominations in the United States.
And any number of recognized and authoritative Christian theologians will say that the Mormon doctrines are *absolutey* not Christian -- at all.
So, this is not limited to this one work -- of "The Kingdom of the Cults" or Walter Martin.
The work is *still* and always has been considered authoritative, is still used as a basic resource, and is more than supplemented by hundreds -- if not thousands of other similar books about the Christian faith and the basic doctrines and how they are completely different than what Mormoism espouses.
For example -- I'm *sure* that many people would call *anyone* who said that Satan (i.e., "Lucifer") was Jesus' brother -- was the *true KOOK*.
And guess who says that...?? Three guesses for you...

The Puritans left England because they denied that THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND was correct and publicly went after it and its head, James, the then King of England.
Once settled in America, they refused to allow Quakers and other non-Congos to practice their brand of religion. That's part of the How and WHY Rhode Island came to be; BTW.
They Cotton Mather, et al, would NEVER have allowed YOU to be a Baptist of ANY stripe and live within the confines of the then Massachusetts.
