You said -- "Notorious fraud."

The work he has produced is absolutely not a fraud, and he has been attacked by several of the cults he has exposed and that's where some people come from.

The facts of his work are absolutely impeccable and you won't find a single Christian Theologian who will dispute his expert analysis of those various cults. Try to find one -- of course, one who is a Christian theologian and not one of the *cults* who are exposed.

AND -- besides that -- you don't even have to refer to Walter Martin if you don't want to -- because the Mormon church has been exposed as a cult and against the historic Christian faith by even ex-Mormons themselves, when they've found out about things that they were not supposed to know.

Any Christian *also knows* that the true Christian uses no other source of authority -- other than the Bible -- which the Mormons do not adhere to. They have several other "authoritative sources" -- which end up producing things like Lucifer (AKA "Satan") being the brother of Jesus Christ (just for one exmaple; it goes on and on from here).

So, don't use Walter Martin -- if you don't want to -- just use the thousands of other documented sources about why the Mormon church departs from the historic Christian faith.

Try Sandra Tanner (and her husband) for one -- who have worked a lifetime showing how the Mormon church has falsified and changed their doctrines over the entire period of their church and how their doctrines are opposed to historic Christianity.

For those who don't know -- Sandra Tanner is the great granddaughter of Brigham Young. She ought to *know* Mormonism, as she came from the family who was the *leader* of the church for many years.

She (and her husband) have lots of documented material. It's such a *mountainous* amount of material that they have produced and documented that it's absolutely tedious to go through it all. It just never ends.

It's *too easy* to show how the Mormon church has absolutely nothing in common with the Christian faith.

Regards,
Star Traveler

The work he has produced is absolutely not a fraud

This suit was all started because Dr. Martin was using a non-existent reference. In a lecture at Westminister Presbyterian Church he quoted from Journal of Discourses, vol. 4, page 385. Mr. Johnson asked him how he could be quoting from page 385 when the book only had 376 pages. Martin said that he would let Mr. Johnson prove that he was wrong in a court of law. "If you're right and I'm wrong, you've ruined me. If I'm right and you're wrong, the Mormon Church in California is going to be terribly embarrassed." (Brown 1986, 102)

On a motion from the defendants, the court entered a summary judgment against Martin's suit. Walter Martin asked for an appeal and a retrial. They were both denied by the court. Walter's final petition was denied on Feb. 13, 1979. (Brown 1986, 317) Therefor after Feb. 13th, Walter Martin had lost his suit and no further action was possible. But that didn't stop Walter from claiming that a suit existed which he had already lost. As late as 1985 Walter Martin was still claiming that, "This case will come to trial in Orange County, California." (Brown 1986, 99)

The fraud's lies were laughed out of court.
