Being told I should take what I can get and vote for McCain is like being told by a used car salesman that I should buy the 1975 Pinto with the rotted floorboards, rusty doors and fenders, smashed up bumpers and blown motor and transmission simply because it's better to buy a Ford than the Yugo sitting next to it. I'm not going to buy either one because I'm smart enough to know I'm going to end up walking no matter what.

Your silly petition is useless and worthless. In case you haven't noticed, we have PRIMARY ELECTIONS in this country.

I would walk across nails and glass to vote for either Rudy or McCain IF and ONLY IF the opposing candidate was Hillary Clinton. So take that petition and stuff it.

I respect and agree with your positions, but as a Republican I feel like the last living defender of the Alamo. Barring Divine intervention over Iraq, we are going to lose in 2008, and we may lose massively. Most Republicans believe in national security and limiting taxes. If choose to make our stand on social issues, not only will we be unsuccessful, but we'll elect a boatload of Democrats, ensuring a weak defense and high taxes as well as abortion on demand.

Not many conservatives are happy with todays Republican party to be sure. A lot stayed home in the last election. I decided to vote at the last moment but held my nose and washed my hands very carefully after pulling the R lever.

Rudy and McCain will be the last straw for many base type voters.

The threat used by some that staying home will elect the beast is wearing thin with me and a lot of other voters.

It's like being offered a choice of jummping off a 10 story building or a 20 story one.

So this Means you would vote for a Clinton/obama ticket over a McCain/Giuliani ticket?
