They don't HAVE to be... the Constitution is a limit on GOVERNMENTAL power and authority, NOT on individual liberty, as you would have us believe. You KNOW that, it's been pointed out time and again to you, by better voices than mine, yet you still disregard that plain simple fact: We give government the authority to exist; it does NOT grant our rights or give US authority to exist. Plain and simple.

The Constitution is a delegation of inherent state powers to the federal government. Far from "defending" the Constitution, you incessantly misrepresent it.
