Well said. Virginians need a candidate who has the sense to not use a stupid, esoteric term like 'macaca' in a public place. That's what lost the race for Allen. Virginia has a huge African-American population and the Republicans have to go fight for that vote, not avoid it.
Secondly, the local papers and TV stations provided ZERO coverage of Allen's last minute release of the passages from Webb's perverted novels. Sure, they were reported on the Drudge Report, but locals tend to read the Virginian Pilot and other local papers. Go figure that 67 percent of voters voted for the marriage amendment. Had Virginians seen the outrageous passages from those novels, they would have fled from Webb in droves. The black churches would have responded, but the headlines never made the press.
Allen stuck his foot in his mouth and alienated a large chunk of the population and a liberal media capitalized on the mistake.
Soooo, Allen said Macaca which he didn't even mean as a racial slur, and that's bad, but you're okay with Webb, Clinton liberal who in his own book, called black people "monkey-faces" and "n*****s", and that's okay. try hard, you might could be a little more hypocritical. Give it a shot. Allen didn't do anything that warranted losing his seat. The media screwd him just like they do to any conservative who isn't perfect. If he was a Democrat, he'd be the one elected. West Virginia just re-elected a KKK grand wizzard for the umpteenth time and he's a Democrat, no one cares about that and he never apologized for it and used the "n" word just a few years ago on tape. Care to guess how many Republicans in Congress ever belonged to the KKK? Um, NONE! If you can't identify or admit blatant hypocrisy that went on in this election, you shouldn't comment on it.
