Yes and I'm sad to see it like that. I had such high hopes for his Presidency. But he had a part in ending the GOP Majority also. Him and weak leadership in the Congress since DeLay was run off for a non-crime, and voters who didn't think RINOs were less bad then liberal Democrats. I disagree with ALL of them. There's a lot of rebuilding to do. Maybe in a couple years the real conservative movement can take back the Congress like in 94. Bush will have a brutally rough two years now. It will be really ugly.
For conservatives, we can't stay alive for long without a conservative president. This is what I have learned from this. We need firebrands, people who are unafraid to lash back. We need fire and all we have had is smoke. New fresh blood. Made myself express the frustration I see with our party. If we were going to conduct a war, we needed livewires to defend our opinions. Not weak kneed old farts.

TexasPatriot8, you ought to realize that your original posting was flame-bait. You are entitled to your POV and your way of expressing it. Some of your conclusions may be valid and some not but you laid it out with a flame thrower and you should expect the reasonable results of doing so.
ShadowDancer, you took the flame-bait. You jumped in with both feet and when flame was returned for flame you retreated to a defensive position based on emotion over something unknown to any poster at the outset. TP8 essentially challenged all-comers to a fight. You jumped in the ring and after a few blows you complain that you're a cripple and it's not fair.
If we (FR conservatives) go at each others throats looking for solace over this loss there will be consequences. Consequences come about whether you take responsibility for your actions or not. But they are greatly magnified when you don't.
Now you can all turn your guns on me or you can help conservatives figure out how best to deal with the mess we now have. The bigger mess we now have. First thing might be to actually figure out who did change their votes (if any) and why rather than guess about it.
This election was about the WOT. Apparently not enough Americans get that. Assuming what it is they don't get about it or why will lead to greater confusion not less.
