I've been here on FR since 1998, newbie---where the hell were you back then? I'm ex-military, from a family with a long track record of military service, and at this very moment, my brother is on his third tour of duty over in Iraq. America hasn't failed---the Republican party failed to maintain power. That's all. This country has survived worse, and will survive even this.

Where I was was doing the same things I have done the past year, not on FR. Was I less of a delegate at the Texas Republican convention the years I wasn't registered on FR? You are the kind of FReeper that is really annoying as though "new" to FR means "new" conservative. I've voted Republican since I was 18 and volunteered every other Novmeber and am very involved. Equating time on FR to being a real conservative is beyond childish. Longevity on this site does not mke you some kind of uber special conservative.
