My only hope is that Bush will cowboy up to the bar and veto everything that comes from the Congress that is even slightly middle of the road. And that the Democrats will now prove that they have no solutions now that they have the power, and that they can't screw up the economy with repealing the tax cuts and raising minimum wage. The real killer will be the fact that the SC will not swing right FINALLY. Not gonna happen with a Democrat majority. Scalia-types won't ever see a floor vote. That's the real tragedy. '08 is two years ago, and with Allen gone the best real conservative candidate is gone. I'm left now only with Tancredo as a real conservative who takes the border seriously and will fight the war and keep the tax cuts, and would put conservative Judges up for confirmation, but I don't know that he has the name recognition to win nationally. I'm still trying to process all this. I'm disappointed that so many Americans didn't learn their lesson as to what you get with liberals, after the Clinton years. Memories are far shorter it seems, then the consequences of bad decisions. Lots of bad decisions made in this election and America is the loser.
I understand completely. My comment was not meant to demean or insult. My apologies if it seemed so.
"I will not apologize for having a Patton moment and hating losing and being angry about it."
Everyone hates losing. We get angry about it and then we deal with reality. But calling that first post, with its stamping of its little feet and holding its breath until it turns blue, and going out to the garden to eat worms, a "Patton moment", is ludicrous. The General would have eaten you for breakfast and had room left over for ham and eggs.
