"Expect to see a lot of bloodshed as Hillary grasps for the nomination. "

No, remember she has those 900 FBI files. Everyone who thought about running is going to suddenly back out as she smothers them with her cankles of doom. She will force algore to back off, lil Tommie Dasshole won't have a chance, Richardson will be possibly her VP. She'll run over Obama too, he's too polarizing for the nation, even for the "diverse" (gag me) libnuts. She won't even have to be in a primary, everyone else will magically step aside for her. Just watch.

Dude, you sound like someone from DU. Get a grip. Politics ebb and flow. Relax.

At some point you have to stop compromising your values and stop voting for the lesser of two evils. I think some people started doing that yesterday.

And Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Rangel, Osama bin Laden, and Iran are truly thankful.

Enjoy your tax increase.

Well said. Virginians need a candidate who has the sense to not use a stupid, esoteric term like 'macaca' in a public place. That's what lost the race for Allen. Virginia has a huge African-American population and the Republicans have to go fight for that vote, not avoid it.

Secondly, the local papers and TV stations provided ZERO coverage of Allen's last minute release of the passages from Webb's perverted novels. Sure, they were reported on the Drudge Report, but locals tend to read the Virginian Pilot and other local papers. Go figure that 67 percent of voters voted for the marriage amendment. Had Virginians seen the outrageous passages from those novels, they would have fled from Webb in droves. The black churches would have responded, but the headlines never made the press.

Allen stuck his foot in his mouth and alienated a large chunk of the population and a liberal media capitalized on the mistake.

Ronald Reagan never had a Republican Congress.

This is a true statement. But then in those days there were still some conservative Democrats. And they had seniority. Now there's nothing but moonbats as far as the eye can see.

Oh well, the only place you can start is from where you are today.

Look--it's disgusting to think of Speaker Pelosi. It's a horror to think of a Democrat-controlled House. However---we all know that the pendulum swings both ways. It was going to happen some time. I refuse to go off the deep end about it. Besides, it's going to make a lot of fodder for FReepers. I repeat--I'm not going to commit Hara Kiri over it.

She won't even have to be in a primary, everyone else will magically step aside for her.

And the media will grovel in her presence. Not one tough question. Not one.

I voted straight R yesterday. Not that it does much in Massachusetts. But I still voted. The spirit of America still lives on in my heart.

Did Yoda and Obiwan give up after the Revenge of the Sith?

Absolutely not!

There were tough times ahead to be sure, but the good side finally triumphed in the Return of the Jedi.

"Now the conservatives need to take this opportunity to get back on track!"

Indeed! No need to act like the whiney liberals who PROMISED to leave this country if the election didn't turn out as they liked it. Now's the time for re-grouping and searching for the next Ronald Reagan to lead us through such troubling times.

Grow up??? How about you p**s off. Do you even know what has been lost by this? Ever heard of this little thing called the War on Terror??? I hope you remember your comment when your kids or grandkids are having to head off to fight somewhere in 20 years because the Democrats stopped fighting the war over the next few years. It's no guarantee that the GOP will take anything back. You don't get it. And the certainty to make the Supreme Court conservative with Stevens retirement in the coming months is dead now. A Kennedy type moderate will be the best that can get a floor vote. If you were a conservative or gave a rip about the country, you wouldn't make such a STUPID mentally vacant comment like you did.

Urban legend. Another freeper gets played like a ball by the MSM

Wow--you voted Democrat [or didn't vote at all] to "stop compromising your values"? What logic. You'll be reaping what you've sown.

Yes and you're so mature that you come back with name calling. I wasn't crying I'm p****d because so many Americans are so gutless and stupid that they just handed the Congress to a bunch of closet socialists. If you can't understand that I'm surprised you were able to respond.

Tax increase was coming with the RINOs anyway...just slower. Who did you vote for? I voted all (R) except for Arnold the RINO for Gov. (I wrote in Tan Nguyen). Pubbies who act like Dems won't ever get my vote.

But the margins were way too big ...

Last night (election night), the people down at the GOP campaign office said they had stacks of normally reliable Republican phone numbers, but those people would not answer or would not go to the polls as election day wore on.

Unfortunately, this is the main reason the GOP got trounced. These people let themselves be brainwashed by our local media, which pushed Dem-lib talking points from the beginning of these elections.

The Dow is at an all time high, unemployment at near record lows, and we haven't been attacked since 9/11, and yet many normally reliable Republicans allowed themselves to be "turned" by these constant negative reports of doom and gloom.

Cancel subscriptions to any and all lib-weenie newspapers and media publications, and/or stop buying products from businesses which keep these lib publications in business by advertising.

Dear Texas Patriot...we have no one to blame but the Republicans themselves and especially President Bush....I went to vote, but I had to hold my nose to do so,they have betrayed their conservative base. Unfortunately the Republicans have been ignoring the people who put them there for years, and now they are paying the price......they have just completely ignored their base support.....no tax reform,no Socialist Security reform,They spent our hard earned tax money like a bunch of drunk Democrats,no smaller government, they would NOT control our borders, the Bush's Justice Department did NOTHING to all of the traitors and leakers ....NOTHING.... I can only hope that this will wake the "Republicans" up, but somehow I doubt it. It just seems that they just NEVER learn.....
