I knew a country once. It was called "America"

Posted on 11/08/2006 3:13:19 AM PST by TexasPatriot8

This is directed at those so called "conservative" retards who did not vote for their Republican Senators and Representatives in the few close states, or who voted Libertarian or Democrat.

I knew a country once. It was called "America". "Libertarians" and Republicans who didn’t vote; YOU ARE TRAITORS to that country and your so called conservative values. It’s that simple. And you just handed America to the Modern American Socialist party. Good job. Well done. GO TO H**L!!! I am so disgusted and ashamed of America right now I can’t even hardly type. I can’t sleep either. I can not make myself even process the fact that in a time of war, the most serious and most difficult war in America’s HISTORY, the people of America are so weak and gutless that they can’t support the one single party with the ability to do what needs to be done to win and protect the country.

With a 15 or so seat House Majority and a basically two seat Senate Majority, the country is well and truly f****d for the next two years. The war, forget it. Might as well run up the yellow flag, pull our guys home, and grab and kiss our butts good bye. The terrorists will be gleeful about this election result, and that speaks for itself. The party of weakness and appeasement and talk without action just won. North Korea and Iran will cheer this election. That speaks for itself also.

The Supreme Court? Kiss it good bye for another 20 or more years. Stevens will not finish out 2007 on the court, maybe not even the next few months. And now, with no control in Congress, no real conservative nominee will get to the Senate floor for a vote. To all you so called Americans who didn’t vote Republican but CLAIM to be conservative, how’s that feel? How’s it feel to know that a couple hundred thousand of you geniuses just guaranteed that the Supreme Court will have more gutless milk toast moderates like Kennedy making decisions instead of people like Scalia and Thomas and Roberts and Alito? Does it feel good? STUPID B******S!!!

Say goodbye to a Congress that will fund a proactive aggressive war against terrorism, fighting far away before it hits home instead of reacting after it hits home. Say goodbye to tax cuts. Say good bye to border enforcement. Say good bye to limits on abortions and embryonic/fetal stem cell research. BILLIONS will now be wasted on bad junk research which will provide no cures, but will help protect abortion and human cloning. Say good bye to a good strong growing economy and healthy job market. The Democrats will have their way with all those things like a convicted sex offender at cheerleader camp.

Oh, and before I forget, The voters in Virginia and Ohio and Missouri and Montana are the STUPIDEST MOST RETARTED SHORT SIGHTED INBRED MORONS on the face of the stinking planet!!!!! This was not about Democrat numbers. This was about a few hundred thousand people who CLAIM to be conservatives, who either voted Libertarian or didn’t vote or voted Democrat. All three groups of those people are NOT conservatives and as far as I’m concerned, those pieces of trash give lip service about their supposed "conservative values" and then when it’s important, they chicken out, or have their little ego trip pitty party because the Republican party isn’t like Burger King; "If I can’t have it my way I just won’t vote for Republicans". I haven’t had a lot my way in the GOP but they’re the only game in town that can win that’s going to even try to do things that I like at least most of the time. How the STUPID STUPID people in those states, ESPECIALLY VIRGINIA, couldn’t see that. I’m just stunned.

You voters who claim to be conservative, and so concerned about America not being a liberal wasteland, but didn’t vote Republican in those close states you blew it!!! You just pimped out America because of your stubborn arrogance and insistence to have it your way or not at all. I would really like to hear from SOMEONE in those states who didn’t support their Republican Senators or Representatives, and tell me PLEASE, do you think you’re going to get what you want, anything you want, from a DEMOCRAT MAJORITY that YOU created in the House and Senate? You’re going to get a retreat on the war, higher taxes, wide open border, NO legislation to secure it, moderate Judges AT BEST, endless federal funding for abortion and failed science embryonic/fetal stem cell research, well fare programs galore, and a stagnant economy and job market. That never happened with a Republican Congress, even with RINOs in it. And you think the GOP spent too much? Wait till you see how much the liberals spend now that they have their sticky fingers back in the honey pot. They’re going to quickly fill up their 12 year hunger to have power back. Good job. You people who didn’t vote Republican but claim to be "Conservative" just sold America out like a pimp with a need for a fix. Feel good? It d**n well better feel good because it’s your fault!

The people of Missouri especially should be ashamed of themselves too. I mean, how stupid are the people of Missouri that didn’t vote for Talent and against Amendment 2??? Five minutes of research would expose the fact that that Amendment is a CLONING AMENDMENT and that stem cell research, INCLUDING EMBRYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH IS ALREADY LEGAL IN MISSOURI!!! Just not TAX PAYER FUNDED embryonic stem cell research. It would also expose that McCaskell is a lying manipulative deceitful wicked woman who did ANYTHING to get elected, even use people like Michael Fox, who didn’t mind lying through his teeth, to get what he wants. If a cure for Parkinson’s is found, it will not be from embryonic/fetal stem cell research, no matter HOW MANY billions of dollars are poured into it. That’s a fact. Pure and simple. http://www.angelfire.com/blog/stemcells . "Show Me" State my butt!!! Can’t show someone something when their f*****g eyes are closed!!!

I never dreamed that so many Americans could have their heads up their a***s with so much on the line. Millions of Americans who voted for Bush in 2004, in just two short years, have become totally disconnected from reality. They swallowed the lies about Iraq hook line and sinker. They swallowed the lies about stem cell research. And clearly they swallowed the lies that the Democrat party isn’t as liberal as it really is. Any of you coward gutless "conservatives" in those States who didn’t vote Republican. Every time the Demcorats undo something that took a decade to do, every tax that’s reversed, every conservative bill that’s blocked, every conservative Judicial nominee that never sees the floor of the Senate, and every terrorist attack that happens in America because we’re not fighting aggressively abroad, own it, because it’s YOUR DOING!!! YOU DID THIS!!! YOU killed the modern conservative movement in Congress. YOU DID THAT!!! I hope the guilt of what you have done consumes you and haunts you relentlessly the next two years every time you hear of some liberal measure being taken on by this new Democrat Congress that YOU created by your selfish lack of inaction. I am really embarrassed and ashamed of this country. America just blew it. They handed the keys of the Congress to the Democrat party who has no plan. Just "Ewww this isn’t working, we can do better" but have no plane for how, just "let us do it, Bush sucks". That’s the Democrat plan. Saying the current path isn’t working, ISN’T A PLAN!!! Opposition ISN’T A PLAN!!! God I’m disgusted by this. If Bush doesn’t veto every single thing that the liberal Democrat leadership sends out of Congress, we’re all screwed. Reid and Peloosie and the radical liberal leadership now have the keys to the kingdom. And the last time the Democrats took Congress, it was over 40 years before they lost it. I hope all you self righteous "my way or the highway" conservatives are prepared to be a generational minority party again, because there is no guarantee that the GOP will be ABLE to take it back in ’08. Especially with the conservative front runner for President, Allen, being knocked off because of stupid voters in Virginia. Allen says "Macaca", not even meaning it racially, and he’s bad. Webb calls black people "n*****s" and monkey faces in a book HE WROTE, but that’s okay. Make him Senator. It’s hard to believe that in just 50 years, America has so fallen to what it will become in January. And when investigations and impeachment hearings begin. We will ALL know who is REALLY to blame. Conservatives are only real conservatives if they ACT and VOTE like it. RINOs aren’t the ONLY RINOs you know!!! If you didn’t support your Republican Senator or Congressman, you’re a RINO too, or more accurately, a CINO. Conservative in name only. REAL conservatives voted Republican. Anyone else is a half-wit poser who was too impressed by their own importance than what was good for the country. There is nothing that will come from liberal Democrat control of the House and Senate. And this sets them up real well to take the White House in 2008. So ends the conservative revolution to take America back to it’s roots and end the cancer of liberal socialism. I’m really afraid that America might just have died with this election. Every great fall starts with just one misstep. Unless something spectacular happens between now and November 2008, America is dead as a conservative values oriented nation. The best I am hoping for now is that a pathetic RINO like McCain or Giuliani can get elected President. Considering the inept weak willed behavior of voters that’s exposed itself Tuesday, that seems like the best there is to hope for. My God this is sad. Terrorists will celebrate this outcome. That says it all right there, and there’s no denying it. I wish I didn’t love this country so d**n much, then I wouldn’t give a rip.

No one's making you read my post or be in this thread ya know. Hit the road if you don't like what I'm saying. For now anyway, it's a free country, and I can speak my mind. If you don't like it, start your own thread and speak your mind. Don't try to stomp on my right to get out my frustrations. You don't have that right and you're out of line.

well hotshot what do you propose to do about it? You cannot overrule an election - yopu're acting like a democrat stamping, whining and crying.

you (we) took one on the chin. the adults among us know that we can never win them all, and are mature enough to accept it when we don't with a certain amount of grace.

you name calling and infighting isn't helping anyone, least of all yourself.

yes, I said and I mean: grow up.

That whole "spending like teenagers with daddy's credit card" line is such a liberal talking point. The GOP was more fiscally responsible then any Democrat Congress ever. The GOP could have been better, but spending wasn't a problem until 9-11, or didn't anyone notice that. And despite the war, the deficit was cut by over half, two years early, and during a war, if spending was really so out of control, that wouldn't have happened. That's a fact.

And your point about how Democrats ran only proves my point. They ran as conservatives and they'll legislate like liberals, just like Clinton always did. The GOP's weak leadership didn't do this though. The primaries are the time to fix the lack of conservative strength. NOT the elections. The election is the time to beat liberal Democrats and protect the nation. Too many supposed conservatives were either too stupid or too short sighted to realize that the GOP losing meant by design that liberal Democrats win. There is no way that the Democrats controlling the House or Senate the next two years is better than a weak GOP Congress. I've talked about this with a lot of people, including Congressman Ralph Hall, my Congressman, very conservative, many years in the House, WWII combat vet, who left the Democrat party because it was so liberal. He agrees with me, but I guess you and the others here know better than him too huh?

Here's an old post of mine that backs your statement perfectly.  Notice the part where they EXPECT your vote and count on people to vote for the party no matter what.

If what I did was mental masturbation then what you responded with was a text fart. Get lost. Sometimes, back biting is EARNED, and there are people who claim to be conservatives and this is their fault more than anyone elses. If you are one of them and can't deal with that, then it's your problem, not mine. I say it like it is. Some conservatives screwed up BIG TIME in this election and the country will suffer under a two year liberal Democrat Congress because of it. Just because SOME HERE can't swallow the bitter pill they decided to take, that's not my problem. People shouldn't create a mess if they aren't willing to sit in it after the fact.

But then in those days there were still some conservative Democrats. And they had seniority. Now there's nothing but moonbats as far as the eye can see.

Double check the democRATs who just won in the House races. Nick Lampson who won TX-22 (DeLay's district) ran as a conservative, low taxes, endorsed by the NRA, tough on criminals. But a number of the other races were similar. The moonbats do not have a controlling majority, even if Pelosi gets to be speaker.

the minority, as we have seen for the past six years, still wields significant power. And if these newly elected democRATs don't govern as the ran, then there will be a lot of one term congressmen in '08.

Actually, I blame the RNC for Talent losing as much as anything. The ads were horrible. If I weren't a political "junkie" or "partisan" I probably would have voted for McCaskill, too. Talent definitely came off as the mean one.......little substance to the ads. On Monday I heard an ad telling Talent's belief in adult stem cell research but not embryonic stem cells. It also pointed out that esc tends to cause tumors. Where was this ad 2 weeks ago?

This never should have been an amendment. It includes punishments and fines........it is a law. Our legislature has been trying to pass this for awhile and chose this route to accomplish what they couldn't get done at Jefferson City.

Well, time to pick ourselves up by the bootstraps and carry on. It will be a different ball game in 2 years.

Will check out your site more closely later.......I have to get ready for work now.

Yes the Democrats won the election on lies and manipulation of fact, burying other facts, and other deceptions. I have talked to no fewer than 30 Iraq war vets and they all say the same thing. Iraq isn't that bad, it's nothing like the news, it's scarier seeing the news at home then being there, etc, so on. The Democrats can only win if they lie about what they can lie about, and run as conservatives, then legislate as liberals. This is the first election where conservative voters were STUPID enough to fall for it. Until today, I thought that most conservatives in America were smarter then that. Clearly, the liberal ranks don't have a monopoly on stupid short sighted voters. Very disappointing. All these years I have given conservative voters far too much credit when it comes to really understanding the issues and evaluating what's at stake. I didn't ever realize that so many conservative voters needed the "See Dick Run" type of election assistance. Very disappointing. I can only imagine how disappointed Rush will be with the conservatives that flaked out in this election. So much for the Supreme Court. The weak GOP Senate would have put in another strong conservative like Scalia or Thomas, like Roberts and Alito. The Democrat Senate won't let anyone right of Kennedy to a floor vote. That's the biggest tragedy of all. Bush can veto any really bad legislation from Congress, if he decides to do so. But neigther he, nor the GOP Congressionbal minority, will have the will to force a floor vote on a nominee when Stevens retires. They'll just send up a Kennedy type moderate. Bush and the GOP wouldn't get their hands dirty and mix it up with the Democrats as the minority, I have NO faith that Bush and a GOP Senate minority will force the issue. Not going to happen. Oh well. Maybe in another THIRTY OR SO YEARS!!! Here is my prediction for when Stevens retires in the next few months:

Price to stay home and not vote because you're frustrated with the weak GOP leadership? $0.00

Price to go vote Libertarian or for Democrats to teach the GOP a lesson? $1.00 gas and an hour.

Price when gutless self-absorbed egocentric so called "conservatives" realize after January that Stevens is finally retiring because his health is so bad and the GOP is finally the minority he's been waiting for, and Alito is the last conservative SC Justice Bush can nominate? Priceless??? No. Not priceless. Just way, way too HIGH a price. Some lesson. Bye bye Supreme Court.

Unfortunately, you are totally right. I just have always believed that America had it in her to fight one more good fight and do what was right. This is the first time since Clinton that I've been disappointed by America and the decisions of her voters. Quite a high price to pay for a little frustration. All these "great conservatives" who think the GOP had it coming, all the geniuses in this thread, in a few months they'll be crying like babies for the weak GOP majority that will cease to exist in January.

That's one of the greater things that bothers me so much. I've always hoped that America would stand in the time of deepest trouble and stand for what's right and good. That won't happen with liberal socialist Christian/Jew hating Democrats at the helm.

Vent. It's good, it's necessary, and there is assuredly a LOT to be pissed about.

The Democrats control the House. Considering the fact that far more Democrat seats were up for grabs in the Senate than Republican seats, we're lucky that the Senate sits fairly even as it is.

And it's your right to be pissed. But in a situation like this, you have two choices: you can be pissed or you can take a step back and evaluate the situation. It's right to do the former, but I hope we are able to come around to doing the latter sooner or later.

First off, I have been rather disturbed by the hyper-orthodox "I'm-more-conservative-than-you" outlook that has reigned around here for the past two years. If you tell people in our party often enough that they are not "conservatives", they start to believe you after a while and they leave. Elections are not won by insulting members of our party and telling them they are RINOs because they don't take a hardline approach to conservatism.

There has been a disconnect with reality in this forum for several years now, and I believe last night was its culmination. Individuals with hardline, hyper-orthodox positions have been very active in labeling bearers of bad news "trolls" or "RINOs". There are many individuals here suffering under the mistaken notion that if we are just orthodox enough in our Conservatism, we'll begin to win... and that bad news for Republicans CAN'T be bad... because we KNOW that all bad news is MSM spin.

As much as some might hate to hear it, the broad majority of this country is not "Conservative" in the orthodox sense promoted here! A large number of those that vote "Republican" ARE those that are otherwise dismissed as RINOs! It used to be that we considered them Republicans, but as of late we've been hesitant to even grant them the name. Yet there are some around here whom seem to believe that if we alienate JUST enough of these people in the next two or so years, we'll start to win elections... would someone mind explaining this logic to me?

There has been a disconnect with reality here. You can see it in the posts building up to last nights elections, snidely dismissing exit polls as MSM spin, and dismissing Republicans that feared major losses as "wanting" the Democrats to win. Everyone was waiting to see the rats eat crow, and instead we wound up with egg on our faces.

The fact of the matter is that we can't win elections or promote our values if we're disconnected from reality and alienating loyal supporters. We also can't win if we run around yelling about how the American people are stupid. The American people ARE America, and as much as I do not like saying it, if you hate them and think they are stupid and don't trust them to make their own decisions at the ballot box, you're every bit as much of an America hater as the Hard Left of the Democratic Party. You can't love a country and hate its people and institutions.

We'll survive. The Democrats gain nothing by backing out on the War on Terror or outright withdrawing from Iraq and they know it. They gain nothing by cutting funds to our troops. If they back off on the War on Terror or withdraw from Iraq, and a terror attack occurs, they know the blame will lie on THEIR shoulders. If they cut funding to the troops and our men and women in uniform start dying in droves, THEY will get blamed. This will happen because we won't let them hear the end of it. They know it.

We are Americans first and Republicans/Conservatives second. I think some people forget this. Part of being an American means trusting the American people when they make decisions for themselves, and trusting in our Institutions to see us through the bad times as well as the good. We can either choose to chalk up our loss to "American stupidity" and look no further into the matter, or we can take a step back and look at the numerous reasons we actually lost. We can spout off that the Democrats were successful because they ran on "Hate Bush" platform, or we can take the time to examine what they are actually saying and doing.

I suppose we can also go about summarily dismissing those that are not "conservative" enough for our tastes from the Republican Party. But how are we going to win elections when all that's left in the Republican Party is you and me?

The moonbats do not have a controlling majority,. . .

Your conclusion is false. Once these "conservative Dems" (c'mon) get to Washington, the radical lunatics who control the RAT Party will tell them how to talk, poop and vote.

Re the Senate . . . the Senate has been in liberal hands for years. So what the "majority" was Republican. The ideology of the Senate was firmly in liberal hands years before Election Day 2006. The Senate is now just far more liberal and the Dems now control the chairmanships.

There is no sugarcoating here and you would serve yourself well not to do that. A RAT would say anyting to get elected. Have you observed Hillary Clinton's actions to "move to the center"? The only center she will ever move to is far left of Ted Kennedy. Don't thiink for a second that a newbie RAT who ran as a "conservative" will vote conservative--they will be ostracized by the socialists who run things if they don't act like a RAT.

"I will not apologize for having a Patton moment and hating losing and being angry about it."

Everyone hates losing. We get angry about it and then we deal with reality. But calling that first post, with its stamping of its little feet and holding its breath until it turns blue, and going out to the garden to eat worms, a "Patton moment", is ludicrous. The General would have eaten you for breakfast and had room left over for ham and eggs.
