I think you have good intentions on this, but they've already shown us they will completely disregard our wishes. So I'm going to be disregarding them on Nov. 7. (Except for my House rep, who voted for HR4437.) Well, that's one very good vote.
Politicos follow the People (to a great degree) and it takes some time, to move them. Hang in there. Just look at how politicians campaigning on the illegal immigration were so thoroughly tarred and feathered just four years ago.
This will be a big issue in the next round of GOP primaries, as I trust you will help to make it so.

You wouldn't have a hard time believing it if you knew what an "empty suit" Perry is.

I am SO sorry.
This sort of tragedy is becoming all too common.
And look who the government sees fit to prosecute while millions of illegals are running around free to do any damned thing they want without interference.
To: A.Hun
They shot at an unarmed man 14 times. That's news to me.
The number of shots shouldn't matter. As always, the cover-up matters.

That article claims he is. He's not. He explained to Glenn Beck a week ago, and at a illegal immigration reform forum many months ago that he tows nobody's line in either the Republican or Democrat party. His views are all over the map.

In Virginia if I shot a perp in my home the cops won't particularly care what happened to the shellcasings.Well, you've just demonstrated that you don't know the law worth a damn.
Secondly, I'm not a cop and am unaware of any rules regarding the care and tending of the immediate aftermath of a self-defese shooting.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

So who's your choice to replace him with?

They are a FEDERAL prosector and a FEDERAL judge.
From what I understand, the judge was appointed by W.

I don't think there was a problem with these guys shooting the drug dealer who appeared to be holding a gun.
I think the big problem here was that both did not report the shooting at all which you HAVE to do.
This makes it seem they were trying to get the drugs to sell themselves to some people.
The right result would have been to fire both for not reporting the shooting with two years probation and that would be about it.
Had these guys reported the shooting, absolutely none of this would have happened.
That said, this went way to far in a bad direction when they gave a drug dealer a pass and jail for years two cops who's only mistake was NOT reporting the shooting.
The shooting was fine, it was the lack of reporting that was messed up.

Thanks for that!
the defendants were prosecuted because they had fired their weapons at a man who had attempted to surrender by holding his open hands in the air, at which time Agent Compean attempted to hit the man with the butt of Compeans shotgun, causing the man to run in fear of what the agents would do to him next. Although both agents saw that the man was not armed, the agents fired at least 15 rounds at him while he was running away from them, hitting him once.

Why didn't the agents have Lynne Stewart as their counsel?
They surely would have been declared innocent.
Oh, I get it, Stewart and Associates are only against Americans, not for them.

Since when have FReepers started believeing anything trumpeted as the Holy Gospel by MSNBC of all places? Which I might add, is a competitor to CNN, and fourth place among the three cable news channels.

From the description of events, these guys deliberately concealed their actions until the IG got involved.
Good does not need to hide. Only evil does.
To: PRND21
They shot a drug dealer several times.
That wasn't the problem, it was not reporting it.

[Lou Dobbs] tows nobody's line in either the Republican or Democrat party.
That's great. Then he can't be bought off by an invitation to the White House or a night in the Lincoln bedroom. There's not enough people with integrity in jounalism left any more.
To: deport
Well, I'd never vote for Chris Bell, the Democrat. I'll probably vote for Strayhorn or maybe even Kinky Friedman.
Now, let the verbal abuse begin.

I don't think there was a problem with these guys shooting the drug dealer who appeared to be holding a gun.
According to the DOJ report, he was clearly unarmed and had his hands up in the air.
