The Amish don't shun medical treatment, or the use of medical devices. From what I have heard/read this a.m. the 7 year old had 'catastrophic' injuries.
Words can't truly describe the horror and insanity of what happened. Just please say a prayer.
One of the posters here said yesterday we may learn more from the Amish in this than they from us, and today that is clear to me.
I am not going to ask them to be any different because evil befell them, but more than that I am witnessing their faith and how they live.
As far as I know, photos and names of the victims have not been released to the media. This is good! Personally, I hope the Amish are able to maintain their privacy in the face of media pressure.
