He backed a pick up truck to the doors. No need to carry everything at once that way.
:-)
In defense of the teacher. The teacher had no way of knowing what the gunman was going to do. For all the teacher knew...by not compling with the wishes of the gunman then he might just instantly start shooting everyone. The teacher could not forsee or even predict what the gunman was going to do or why he was there.
unless he left the community after he turned 18
Yeah, those gun free zones are hell for self defense advocates. I would refuse to let my kids (I dont have any (YET) attend any school that didn't have a trained, armed, competent lethal firearm carrying citizen on the premisis prepared to do lethal close combat with a monster intent on killing children.
Exactly.
I have a horror that maybe one of the moms holding a baby was told to leave... and one of her daughters is left inside.(a Sophie's Chocie kind of thing.)
We do not know what happened.....and it's useless to speculate.
Obviously, too many nice people have wasted their time trying to reason with you.
Look he had a gun told her to get out....what was she supposed to do....say no I don't want to...I may get critized by a poster on FR...who is sitting safely in their home.
Thanks. I just got that info from a different poster on a different page. Thanks!
No trouble supporting your tagline.
Your untimely attempt to assign blame on the pregnant women has made your post 909 the "zot" post of the thread. Now please leave and resume your theory on some other thread, this one is for the children.
this tragedy just makes me sick and realize how much evil is all around us....pure Evil.
Thanks
GAWD, GIVE THE POLITICS A REST FOR TODAY. This was a one-room Amish school house, not a 2,000 student public school. Cripes, there was one young female in the school and that was it! JUST ... PLEASE ... STOP ... THIS!
This story has stirred a lot of emotion for me, not only because I live in Lancaster and know the area of the shooting, but also because I have a very deep respect for the Amish. I simply cannot fathom why anyone would take revenge on innocent girls who had absolutely nothing to do with anything in his life.
A few have commented questioning why the teacher didn't fight back. I would contend that even an armed teacher would not be able to respond to this sort of suprise invasion. Second, fighting back would've garanteed nothing, it would very well have caused the gunman opening fire before the state police arrived and resulted in more children dying. The teacher did what was right in fleeing and calling for help, playing hero when ill equiped to complete the heroic act is absolute stupidity.
This is a tragic act by a man who could not possibly be punished adequately in this life. Not only did he kill 3 girls and injure others... he scarred a generation of this community... and for what? His 15 minutes of fame???
