Only ever made me hungry... waste of time and money....brings on the munchies...goes all to your hips and thighs...so I can see why it WOULD benefit anybody having difficulty eating - like cancer patients... just stay away from the chips and dip....

It's also a really good idea to have an experienced guide with you during your first time out, someone who can teach you what to do and help make the experience a pleasant one for you. I knew I picked the wrong career.

Why do you think there are so many snack shops and eateries in Amsterdam?
A city with the munchies!

"Everyone else I met at the Cannabis Cup had either been smoking pot for many years, often decades, or had started as a teenager (or both). Either way, everyone else had been smoking pot for a pretty long time."What a bunch of loser stoners (but I repeat myself).
The vast majority of pot smokers quit in their late 20's. Only 3% of those 35 and older smoke pot.

"It's like trying to look at something that moves out of sight whenever you look it its direction."Yeah, things like STOP signs and SCHOOL ZONE signs.

"RElegalise it"Bring back the government we had in the early 1900's and I'd consider it.

Keep it illegal and increase the penalties.
It's a dangerous drug that leads to even more dangerous addiction, so backsliding and submitting to its promoters undermine us all.

One thing about pot, too, is that unlike alcohol, you can really only get so high. Once you're stoned, to keep smoking it is really a waste. Alcohol messes most people up much more that pot.
There do seem to be those however, who will drink alcohol but can't stand pot. I think that these folks react differently to pot than others. I don't know why.

"B.S. - You'd think smoking pot is like dropping two hits of acid after reading this exaggerated account of getting stoned."
I'm with you. This guy has an overactive imagination and he really let it go when he smoked pot. He must have been psyching himself up for an LSD like experience and then just invented one in his mind when he smoked.

I don't know. The first time I actually got stoned was the fifth or sixth time I smoked it. The first few times it didn't seem to have any effect on me. But that first experience, I was absolutely ripped. I was also about 14 at the time and I think it may affect younger people more severely. I don't really smoke anymore, but if I do it doesn't effect me nearly as bad.
I found that the older I got coupled with knowing how it'd feel and what to expect definitely lessened the effect. I also think it effects certain personality types different. If you're more laid back, you'll just go with it and enjoy it. If not, you'll become paranoid and freak out. Kind of like how some people enjoy roller coasters and some hate it.
