"...disgusted that these criminals were distorting a religion of peace and beauty and using it as a cloak for their sins"
That's rich!
Head, sond, hole, remove.
There, that's more accurate.
"In July 2002 an anti-terrorism court in Pakistan gave Omar Saeed Sheikh the death penalty. The case is currently on appeal.
He'll probably be released. He did nothing wrong according to Islamic teachings. He was simply doing his part for the good and advancement of Islam.
I remember seeing that video shortly after it came out. I watched it in it's entirety. I hadnt felt such emotions since 9/11, which was about 6 months prior.
RIP Daniel Pearl
I couldn't watch stuff like that...I'd never be the same...it would be like watching kiddi-porn...my anger would consume me...I'd lash out at any and all...
Story too contrived to be true altho there may be some truths buried in the tale.
Oh, I'm not the same. Every time someone talks of reasoning with the terrorists or treating them according to the Geneva Convention, for example, I think of that video and am instantly reminded of what we are facing. When I saw that, I was shaking so hard with rage.
God Bless our troops who put themselves out there against these types every day...
I don't believe a word he says. I don't believe he tried to find or save Danny Pearl.

To be fair, Musharraf is in a tough position. He's trying to govern a populace that is 60% anti-American, in a country that is not fully under control of the national government. There must be twenty million people who want to see him dead.
I haven't seen anything that indicates he's not acting in good faith in his dealings with our government. Rather, I think he's doing what he can to do the right thing and avoid ending up in a body bag.
If Musharraf were to force the army to go all-out against the wackos, there's a good chance he'll be overthrown -- and the nutjobs will control the Paki nukes.
<< 'We assure Americans that they shall never be safe on the[stolen from India ] Muslim Land of Pakistan.
There, that's more accurate. >>
Nope.
It's not.
"We assure Americans that they shall never be safe on the[stolen from India by the bumbling bloody british faggot and Nehru cuckold, Mountbattenberg] mudslime state of Pakistan."
Now it's entirely accurate.
But it does sound plausible.
And, nice to know that some of the satanic, hellish vermin have been "detained." Now if they had the kind of justice delivered to them that they presume to mete out so swiftly . . .
FYI:
A Most Important Man
by Francis Frangipane
There are just a few world leaders today that I consider crucial to the outcome of world affairs. Certainly, the policies and actions of President Bush or, to a lesser degree, Prime Minister Tony Blair affect untold millions around the world; Vladimir Putin of Russia and Chinese President Hu Jintao are also pivotal players in the unfolding of world events. These individuals, by virtue of their positions of influence alone, are in obvious need of faithful and visionary intercession.
Yet, in my opinion, there is another man whose role is more crucial than all. That man is Pervez Musharraf, president of Pakistan. Pakistan is a nation of 160,000,000 people, 97% of whom are Muslim. Within its Islamic culture are millions of jihadists zealous to die for Allah. Of all nations on earth, Pakistan needs a stable, noble leader to keep its radical population in check. A revolt or absence of balanced authority in Pakistans leadership would be catastrophic for one primary reason: Pakistan already has nuclear weapons.
In spite of pressures and threats from Islamic radicals, President Musharraf has been a courageous ally in the war against terrorism. His army has been responsible for killing or capturing hundreds of al-Qaeda fighters, many of whom were important leaders in the terror network. Musharraf himself has been miraculously protected from several bomb attempts on his life.
Civil rights groups criticize Musharraf for not relinquishing his position as commander in chief of Pakistans armies and for not allowing national elections to select a challenger to his presidency. Yet, Musharraf has served his nation well, seeking to end Pakistans long conflict with India as well as reaching in peace toward Israel.
Because of the crucial conditions in the world and the fomentation of Pakistans radicals, hardly a day passes without me standing in prayer for Pervez Musharraf. Indeed, there have been many nights when the Holy Spirit has awakened me with only Musharrafs face before me, compelling me to intercede for his life and position to remain secure.
Today the Lord has urged me to pass this prayer need to you. If Musharraf is removed from power, these radicals could possibly gain access to weapons of mass destruction.
Finally, President Musharraf is a moderate Muslim. As a child, he attended Saint Patrick's High School in Karachi and graduated from Forman Christian College in Lahore. He is a man who can play a significant role in the cultural modernization of Pakistan and perhaps even help open up Islam itself. He is a man of extreme importance in the purposes of God and vital to the resolution of the crises of our times. I urge you, therefore, to stand before God in prayer for this man.
