No, it was Dr Szent-Gyorgi that first pointed out that vitamin C was a complex, not simply ascorbic acid.
Do you have a reference for this finding? The only
references that I have located suggest exactly the opposite. Note that
"hexuronic" acid is ascorbic acid".
