Just in case you aren't aware of these two sources,
xzins, the first (the Tax Panel) was handed a "report" made up by bureaucratic staffers whose jobs are dependent on keeping the income tax money flowing and which was influenced to change the definition of the tax they were reviewing to something other than the FairTax bill as written. It's an old liberal game called "present the strawman and destroy it". Goes on all the time within the Beltway.
Even the numbers relating to taxes paid are preposterous as shown in this post and be sure to follow the link given for a look at how absurd the panel's "numbers" really were. Needless to say the poster giving you his link is anti-FairTax and as can be seen from his second link to you he prefers a flat tax which has many deficiencies as shown in this post or even one which shows the Flat Tax as Seen by a Tax Preparer
