Save America with the ‘Fair Tax Act’
The Courier ^ | August 31,2006 | Gordon Bishop

Posted on 09/03/2006 5:18:40 AM PDT by Man50D

Abolish the federal income tax!

No more taxes on savings and investments!

A "Fair Tax" can completely fund the federal government, Social Security and Medicare!

You control how much you spend!

So what are we waiting for?

You, the taxpayers of America burdened with an income tax that is costly, wasteful and sinking America into inevitable bankruptcy. All current forms of federal taxation would end! You would keep 100 percent of your paycheck. You control how you spend your paycheck. It's your money. You make the decisions as to how you want to spend your money.

The Fair Tax would create more jobs and give the USA a level playing field when selling overseas. United States Senator John Linder (R-Georgia) is sponsoring the "Fair Tax Act of 2005." If enacted by Congress, it would accomplish all of the above. Simple. Easy. And affordable.

It's the best way to downsize government without disrupting the economy.

To join the "Fair Tax" movement in America, just sign the "Economic Freedom & Fairness" Petition supporting forward-thinking solutions. Go to www.grassfire.net and liberate the working class of taxpayers. Grassfire is trying to give the working class the same kind of freedom America's founders gave to those who joined the American Revolution in 1776 with the "Declaration of Independence." We won the Revolutionary War, but have lost our country since the 16th Amendment (income tax) became "Law" in 1913.

Just have the federal, state and local governments "cooperate" it into existence. .

I assume then you think this government is terribly inefficient and burdensome?

Burdensome?

The Fair Tax touts itself as "revenue neutral". How about the nebulous "One Tax'?

I would be very careful about putting words in peoples mouths (or posts). It is gravely frowned on by the mods - nearly as gravely as profanity and insults.

This from a guy who tapes my comments, reposts them in italics, and attacks me without pinging me. This also from a guy I blistered last night (while pinging the mods because I knew I might be over the line). So don't consider him anything of a legitimate debater here. He has only once answered my call for debate and had nothing that was not easily slammed.

IOW, he is a classic hit and run artist and wastes more time than RIP Van Winkle. Debate him if you must, but you'll soon see it is an exercise in Mickey Mouse.

How can this burdensome, uncooperative government have this model of taxation that you've been proclaiming?

I amazed that anyone thinks our current tax system is such a gift to the nation. I'm especially amazed that someone who laughs at the very notion of cooperation would think that very same government came up with an inspired, positive, nation-blessing tax system.

Well I have to admit I am flattered. You have archived my posts?

No, I clicked on your username, and then In Forum, FR keeps the archive all right there, and all of those were just on the first page of your recent posts.

And what point did you prove? You proved that I challenge some of these soi disant "experts" as to their true motives.

You said that you don't do this, and challenged me in #74 to: Please post where I have accused anyone individually of having an ulterior motive.

Now that I have done so, you ask what point I am making? The point is that you are not about debating the plan, you are about debating the motives of the people who are discussing the plan, aka ad hominem attacks.

none of them have stood beside you with your self indulgence about getting an e-mail from someone whom you obviously think is a celebrity.

It is you who is hung up on this "celebrity" thing, not me. I view the Jorgenson exchange as one step in getting the FairTaxers to admit that the Free Lunch ("100% paycheck, prices stay the same") was an impossibility. If you look back more than a year, and the FairTaxers would not admit this even though many posters before me saw the same problem and made the exact same arguments.

So why should I not suggest that you have an agenda? There are a lot of people who make a LOT of money BECAUSE of the way the system is set up.

It has long been recognized that in a debate you lose points when you make a personal attack. It is a given that everyones position is suspect and that things must be debated using facts, attempts to discredit or derail a debate using personal attacks is not a accepted method of discussion.

You are like the 60% of colonists who were afraid of standing up to George. The only difference is, you decided to debate about it and lost. At least the meek in 1776 were a little honest about it.

That is your opinion, I happen to think that I am the one that is standing up to the populist FairTax scheme, and attempting to point out the incorrect assumptions and problems as I see them. If you consider that meek, then you are wrong about that too.

And I use logic and real math to explain where I am getting my estimates. And none of them have been shown to be incorrect.

Disorganized, unable to work at different levels, inefficient, rotten, self-focused...

And despite all this, you tell me that they come up with the world's all-time best tax system, and that I should jump for joy just to be able to participate in it.

LOL!

This also from a guy I blistered last night (while pinging the mods because I knew I might be over the line).

I got your post pulled at 5:30 this morning 7 hours after you posted it. And I sent you a Freepmail about it a few minutes later. You certainly never pinged the mods although it was such an embarrassing post that I was doing you a favor to have it removed. You are the hit and run artist and that post was full of ad hominem attacks.

And nobody "tapes your comments" they are all there to see "In Forum" any time you like. Your's are pretty much all negative attacks, interspersed with attaboys to your fellow FariTaxers.

One tax and a centralized government would fix that?

As an example, show me how a person who's income is at the poverty level ($26,400 for a family of four) can buy the poverty level worth of goods even with the "prebate" ($6,072). Let's see the math.
It's all in the discounts. They shop at Principled house of discounts. He's the second level after Walmart, in fact he's right next door. He goes next door, purchases his products for sale then discounts what he paid for them by 10%...Principled buys a $100 item on sale for $90 (ti) then sells it at the Principled/pigdog/groanup/Fairtax HOUSE OF 19% DISCOUNTS for $81 (not including tax because he already paid the tax at Walmart when he makes his purchase)...He's trying for volume sales and the impoverished are making out like bandits

Her "single payer" tax system for health care?

Sounds awful. Kinda like your vague "One Tax".

Oh...HillaryCare.

Another part of this "best tax system" in the world? If you love this, then you'll love her highness when she gets to manipulate this silly system we've got.

I've always considered anyone who loved this system to be a socialist or a comatose. (It's good to check pulse & blood pressure...........)

Nope. A rotten proposal that never got off the ground.

Sound familiar?

Yeah, it sounds like this abortion of a tax system we've got.

Honestly, how can you love THIS tax system?

The economy is doing fine.

HillaryCare would have been crushingly expensive. Not as expensive as the monthly Fair Tax entitlement though.
