fwiw, i consider "Mr SPIN" "the WORST of the WORST" of the "DAMNyankee coven of lunatics, haters, weirdos, REVISIONISTS, LEFTISTS & a BIGOT", when it comes to intelligence, knowledge, judgment, morality, etc.

even "DUH, snake" is higher on the IQ scale (at least if "DUH, snake" is NOT a TROLL from DU, which is what i suspect.) and he is a SCALAWAG (can you imagine how little i consider his turncoat opinions???).

truthfully, i look forward to "Mr SPIN's" rants. he gives me someone to RIDICULE & "make sport of" ( one of my legion of failings is that i enjoy BLOODSPORTS.)

The enemy of the United States in 1861-1865 was a bunch of Democrats that decided for reasons we could argue to the cows grew wings, to remove almost half of the area, population, and states of the United States from the control of the US Constitution and government, by force if necessary and by deception if they could get away with it.

Since you are and or were an officer in the United States Army as well as a Republican that has sworn to defend this country from all enemies foreign and domestic that would do exactly what those democrats in the south did, how can you cancel your oath of allegiance to defend this country against those that would destroy it for their own purposes and side with those who have as a stated purpose the creation of a new confederacy devoted to the ideas of the old confederacy along with a new rebellion (and as well the type of bloodshed and destruction beyond what took place during the civil war).

Or put another way, why would any one that served this country with honor commit an act of treason and seek to divide it once again for the purposes of those that only want racial supremacy?

The reason you call me a scalawag is because I am not willing to take part in a rebirth of a failed rebellion or the rebirth of the confederacy or quite honestly a return to the days when blacks and whites knew their place as defined by your buddy Kirk Lyons, nor do I wish to see the horrors of 21st century war visited upon the south so that a bunch of fools wearing gray can revisit the destruction visited upon the south because of their equally shortsighted ancestors.

Now before you start stuttering about rights, yours, the states or otherwise, what about my rights?

I am happy living in these United States, under this flag, and I am proud of the service I have performed for this country. It would seem to me that to achieve your goals of a new confederacy I would have to give up my citizenship in the United States.

I'm not prepared to do so, nor am I prepared to be a second or third class citizen because I'm not quite as white as Kirk Lyons and the rest of his cohorts are. Nor am I prepare to surrender my life, my home and my south to a bunch of wannabees whose only real purpose is racial supremacy of the worst sort.

Throughout our conversations I have always stated that I choose to honor the bravery of the individual confederate soldier and have done so for one simple reason he was unwilling to surrender his life, his home and his south to those that would destroy it to punish those lead him.

With me so far....Good here comes the big finish

They were lead by a bunch of democrats that choose the wrong way to end their issues with the United States, and in the end those soldiers and their families, not their leaders suffered the most, and I won't allow a repeat of that in this country and will expose these new Confederates for what they are every chance I get, and to do so I am only willing to surrender to the ash heap of history any symbol of the confederacy and the democrat leaders of that failed rebellion.
