I liked Evita too in all of its different presentation, sound track, theater, movie. I like some of Sean Penn's movies, but the man is a fool when he speaks about politics. Now, I see Mel in a whole different light.

I guess you've missed a few threads that a lot of us were on; the apologists for Gibson were numerous. Some of them even thought what he said wasn't a big deal, especially since he was drunk.
I wouldn't agree with those that were apologizing but I do agree with Chanti....basically if he would not have done The Passion...we wouldn't be having this conversation..the media has zeroed in on this to disqualify it
To: KellyAdmirer
Sometimes you'll get someone who orders you not to post to them on pain of tattling, you forget their name and end up in trouble when you ping them again. Then they get mad when you don't ping them...win-win for them. All bullying tactics, really. You see more of that in the evo-freak threads than anywhere else.

You are correct -- this is the only thread I've seen on the subject. It is all very sad.

You misused the word "offal". A better and more precise word would have been "visceral"; as in they viscerally feel this....
"offal" isn't just the intestines.
And after your posts to this thread, the rest of us now know exactly what and who YOU are, as well. ;^)
To: Peach
I'll stand by that. I'd forgotten about that thread; thanks for reminding me. I still think it's a great idea to help Mel get over hating an entire race of people I agree .. it would be a good idea that he and others visit a Holocaust museum
We should never forget what was done to the jews and some folks need realize exactly what happened
I just don't think a Judge should order it as part of a sentence ... it gets into the category of criminal prosecution of hate speech

Exactly so.......except that with Mel's current outrage, they are uncovering themselves, on these threads. And some of them have lately been outing themselves on Pat Buchanan threads too. Really? If you're going to make accusations like that how about providing some names?

Everyone has said that if he said those things, it was despicable. No one's very crazy about the drunk driving, either. Some have noted that alcohol can make one say things one would never say when sober. Others may be skeptical of the MSM. Big shock. I think the main thing is that not everyone is ready to say he is a totally worthless human being or a waste of skin. It seems that if you aren't ready to string him up, you're considered an anti-Semite.Based on everything I've seen, he said "those things"
Skeptical of the MSM, sure. The police report, which he doesn't contest. Well, Mel expressed his opinion of LEOs.
In my view, he's a jerk.
Who said he's a worthless human being?
I'm told he can reinvent himself, maybe he can.
String him up?
That's nasty.
Very nasty.
I say that cause he's been supportive of his pop.
Pop has said that Alan Greenspan, a Jew, should be strung up.
From the nearest tree.
He's part of the Jewish banking conspiracy, you know.
Honest, Gibson, Jews, lynching, go somewhere else.
During WWII they were giving us this jazz. They said we were attacked. Well alright but we didn't realize that at that time the attack was a put up job by "the man" -I am talking about our beloved FDR who had practically forced the Japanese to attack and destroy the entire Pacific Fleet. They knew they were coming in Washington. FDR pushed us into the war. It was FDRs own private war. He went there for money. The money power that runs this country. The Fed Reserve and those foreign bankers who own our currency and charge us for it. The foreign bankers who run the international reserve like the Rothchilds and their allies in this country like the Rockerfellers who were Jews and others who own the money.
We have given the whole control to the Fed Reserve. Greenspan tells us what to do.
Someone should take him out and hang him. The Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, the Carnegies are all communists. They are enemies of the country.
Good thing he didn't suggest hanging the President, the Secret Service would have been at his door.

Obviously not
I don't like what he said
I don't have anything against Jews
I am having a hard time with the hatred toward him
I think it shows an undertone that has nothing to do with Mel Gibson

It doesn't seem to matter how many times you agree that he disgraced himself and dishonored his work and his family. That's the trouble with agreeing, sometimes. It's never enough when someone drunk on spite has a subtext.
What they really want is for us to denounce The Passion.
