You deny the power of Christ.
He healed the sick, the lame; He cast out demons; He stopped the storm at sea; He walked on water; He turned water into wine. You don't think He could have smite them ALL in a NY second?
Of course he could. But the fact that you're referring to "them"--doesn't that suggest there was a "them" about to do something?
Look. Some would say no one was responsible for the death of Jesus (except apparently himself, instigating it perhaps with Judas).
Some would say a group of Jews and/or the Romans were responsible, which is historically a fact, but misunderstands (sometimes with malicious intent) the greater truth and revelation of the meaning of his death.
Some say ALL MANKIND (definitely not no one)had a hand in his death through their sinand this view, in the opinion of Christians including myself, is the most accurate way of understanding his death (and is ultimately GOOD NEWS).

Do you deny the power of David Blaine? He's done a lot more than walk on water. Jesus of Nazareth was a great man, but he never made an entire skyscraper disappear like Blaine.
And don't give me the argument that there were no 100 story skyscrapers in 1st Century Palestine/Israel.
That's no excuse.
