Sorry. No can do. He's a public figure who insulted an entire group of people. He's going to have to do better than a generic apology.
Not at all. If he was to go on and engage in this behavior I would be the first to criticize him. Indeed, I am of course critical of the awful things he said about Jews, women, and police.
I can't know for certain, of course. But IMO his statement was the right one for someone to make who is, in fact, truly repentant.
Well I hope he does apologize explicitly and fully. I hope he repents in his heart, examines the world's problems in a more rigorous and mature way, and rejoins the good fight represented by his artistic body of work.
