You have a right to believe he's not anti-semetic..but all the proof says you're wrong.
"The report says Gibson then launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?" Just saying "I'm sorry" doesn't mean anything. What is he sorry for...saying it? Is he sorry for thinking it? What exactly is he sorry for? That's what he thinks...and honestly, if he thinks like that, he shouldn't apologize. But it's my right to say I hope he goes to hell.

Hildy, you can say whatever you want, as obviously you feel this deeply.
Hildy, I may not agree with you....but I love you---I'm so very sorry you had relatives in the Holocaust.....dear mercy.
But I personally think Mel will have a hard time gettting over this....both with his family and the public.
Nothing we say can add to his discomfort and regret.
I still appreciate much he has done....
...And I still don't think he could have made one scene from The Passion..if he was an anti-Semite.

...well...while God will decide the hell thing...I do agree that apologies are quite useless especially from celebrities so somehow we can forgive their torrid behavior....I am all for giving second chances but in the event he was actually just "acting out" good old dad, he still would have to take many years and much work to reverse this act and the words put forth.....I won't damn him for eternity....but I would expect penance from him in some way, shape or form.....a very very serious transgression.....both behavior and words......

Some people refuse to believe any facts that go against their world-view.
