The whole first half of the speech is about people coming from all over the world to be AMERICAN. If the rest of the world was to grow up and be AMERICAN (truly), then I wouldn't care so much about borders either.

But that's a pipe dream (at least for the next several hundred years), so the only hope for humanity is for America to remain strong and sovereign, that shining city on a hill(as Reagan put it). Think Reagan would agree with that?
