Lincoln was responsible for saving the Union, the Union by which our liberties are assured.
The people who wanted to break the Union by treason and war were the ones who bear the responsiblity for treason and war. The people who wanted the Union to fail were the aristocrats of Europe and the Slavers of the US. What wonderful allies you seem to choose.
There is one exception to Treason. That is Victory. The South didn't obtain Victory. They appealed to the sword to gain what was not theirs by law, by reason, or by right. If it was theirs by law, they could have appealed to the US supreme court. If it was theirs by reason and right, they could have held off on firing the first shot, and tried their case in the court of public opinion. They did not appeal to the court, and they were unsuccessful in the court of public opinion (even unable to get a peace candidate elected in place of Lincoln. Therefore, it was treason.
Is that to much for you? I admit I do not have the ability to explain treason in words of one syllable. Is that what you need? Really? Is that how low the neo-confeds must scrape the bottom of the barrel, that simple concepts as the above escape you?
