No, I don't since Slavery still exists today in our own nation.(this is a link to proof!)

Surely you understand the difference between antebellum slavery in the US and your 'proof'.

I mean, if you want to get stupid about it, I sell myself into slavery every morning at 06:30 and emancipate myself at 17:00, six days a week.

Since I am one of millions that do this every day, then I have 'proof' that, not only does slavery still exist in the US today, but it is widespread, condoned by everyone and enabled by the (yankee) government!

If the Confederacy had succeeded in sucession, it surely would have kept the institution of slavery legalized.

First of all, the Confederacy DID succeed in secession (BTW, check your spelling above).

The Confederacy DID NOT succeed in repelling the invasion of a foreign country and was, subsequently, occupied.

Secondly, it was in the Confederate Constitution! So what's your damn point?

Section 9 - Limits on Congress, Bill of Rights

4. No bill of attainder, ex post facto law, or law denying or impairing the right of property in negro slaves shall be passed.

Section 2 - State citizens, Extradition

1. The citizens of each State shall be entitled to all the privileges and immunities of citizens in the several States; and shall have the right of transit and sojourn in any State of this Confederacy, with their slaves and other property; and the right of property in said slaves shall not be thereby impaired.

Who said it was "proof", Slavery exists today I don't need to prove that because it does.

Granted it is not the legal kind where men, women, and children are bought and sold legally but it is slavery none the less.

My point of course is simple, there has never been a system of slavery where the slaves willingly sell themselves into slavery, ergo any government with at it's root cause for existence the institution of slavery is inherently evil.

And before you attempt to prove that the United States was some how equal to the confederacy in that regard, may I point out that the solo clause in the constitution covering "slavery" does not use the words slave, slavery, or Negro.
