This American loves soccer.

Eighty to 85 minutes of play action vs. 10 to 15 for your average NFL game.

What's not to love?

It's hard to say this without sounding like a complete cynic, but soccer will never achieve mass appeal in the U.S. because, in its current form, it is not conducive to TV advertising.

Montonous action compared to stop-and-go action that creates tension & anxiety as its supposed to?

What is NOT to love is the lack of scoring.

Therefore this American loves watching basketball. Continuous action AND scoring.
