I dig soccer Rudeboy! I will be watching the World Cup games when I can and totally cheering for the US!!! I dont know all the rules, but I had a Brit boyfriend for the past 6 years (his EPL team is Middlesbrough) and have watched my share of games....its the only sport I will watch on TV besides Tennis or hockey.

Soccer players are HOT. :)

Females are always welcome, and I apologize for the exclusively male perspective of my post. I met the Argentinian girl I mentioned above immediately after her team lost to Romania (I think). She walked into the bar with her friends and everyone applauded. Never seen anything like it.

I'm still happy I was there to console her.

It's a tremendous sport..and the conditioning of the players is remarkable..I first got turned onto the game when I was posted to Spain in the late 60's..a girlfriend took me to a Real Madrid game..some 70,000 is the stands going nuts...in the late 70's back in N..I got to see Pele and Beckenbauer play for the Cosmos at Giants Stadium..amazing..Franz was the best I ever saw..

From my experience you couldn't be farther from the truth. I was in physical therapy in Portland Oregon in 1979 and 1980 and the soccer team the Portland Storm worked out there. They were the biggest sissies on the planet. The rest of us were injured and in pain and pissed and moaned about a workout. I played soccer in high school I have the scars to prove it, but I have no respect for the sport.
