It was not the process that was under attack according to her, but whether the process had the right information to be able to adequately represent Poutre. Precedent may well have been set by the Haleigh Poutre case.
"We got involved after there was a human outcry," she said. "With our recommendations now in place, hopefully next time there is a similar case, the child will have protection that is well-informed."
