CHARLIE CRIST CHANGES POSITION ON GAY ADOPTION

Jim Defede: What is your stand on civil unions and gay adoption?
Charlie Crist: On civil unions?
Defede: On civil unions.
Crist: I think it is fine, but I support marriage between a man and woman.
Defede: and on gay adoption
Crist: I havent taken a position yet.
Defede: Not thought about it one way or the other?
Crist: not extensively
Defede: All right, so in other words you might be open to it?
Crist: I havent reached a conclusion is what I said.

Sounding more like a general election candidate than one in a Republican primary, Crist said he doesn't oppose civil union between gay couples but opposes gay marriage and that "I haven't reached a conclusion" on whether gay adoptions should be allowed. (The St. Petersburg Times)
