But that's DU - they're just doing and saying what you'd expect them to do or say. What's bad is the fact that not so very long ago, the media wouldn't have given those loons the time of day, much less a national platform to spew their insanity. But their hatred of George Bush is so intense, their desire to destroy him is so strong, that they eagerly print this sh!t and give it creedence, and don't seem to care how crazy it makes them look.
I will never forget listening to the radio on 9-11 (I was working and we didn't have a TV) and hearing some reporterette asking what was undoubtedly one of the most stupid questions I've ever heard. I'm paraphrasing, but I've got the gist of the question. In regards to the planes crashing into the World Trade Center: "But how could this happen in buildings like the Twin Towers, with all their security?"
Even in the shock of what was happening, the magnitude of the whole thing, I got this sudden mental picture of a security guard standing in a window with his hand up, like a traffic cop stopping traffic: "No, no, you can't fly that plane in here!"
I don't remember how the person she was interviewing answered that one, I was too stunned by the question.
