Your logic is a little backwards. I'm not saying a college-educated person can't be a loon. All I'm saying is these people are applying what they think are educated theories to film analysis and mechanical engineering when it's likely none of them have any significant education in either.
I understand what you are saying. I'm saying that they might actually have significant education and still be a loon. My hubby is a mechanical engineer. One of his very educated co-workers thinks he is going to live on Mars soon. One would think with his degrees ect. that he would clue in. Don't discount having a degree or education as an immunity against being a loon.
