Brian of Fox & Friends interviewed Simon just prior to last night's show. Simon, who I respect more than the other two, stated Kat was the better vocalist, but he thought Taylor would win because he's more popular. I think last night he predicted Taylor would win because he didn't screw up his performances. During the interview, Simon stated he was afraid Eliott may not go very far, but it was more a statement of sadness. I think he liked Elliott.

I've really tried to like Taylor but everytime he starts a song and I try to have a positive attitude, he'll hit some note and I cringe. I just don't see his talent, but he is a nice person. I think Kat is nice too, I try to look at their talent and not their popularity.

Simon has been exposed this year as someone who doesn't know talent in the way that people initially thought he did. He passed on both Taylor and Chris, got all hot and bothered for Pickler and claimed Ace had that "x" factor.

Taylor will do fine with the Boomers and late Gen X people and he will have a loyal fan base. That is a requirement for success and more so than being the flavor of the month. Simon just doesn't know how to market to Taylor's audience. With regard to Elliott, he already has a big agency working for him and has been meeting with a lot of producers this past week. He won't likely do well in Simon's eyes as a pop singer but that's pretty far away from what he wants to do anyway. And, if the two songs that were written for Kat and Taylor are any indication of what being associated with Simon, Simon and Clive will mean then E and Chris are much better off.
