Well, I have to disagree with you. Maybe because I am near to his hometown I see things differently. This area has been rabid with Soul Patrollers for several weeks now. When he came to B'ham for his homecoming there were over 16,000 in the middle of the mall to see him perform and it was chaos. It wasn't just little old ladies either. All ages, all races and they were screaming. Several of my friends that went said it was overwhelming how people were responding to him. I think there are many out there who are tired of the cookie cutter pop icons, like Brittany Spears, Jessica Simpson, etc. and although country is pretty popular, I see that popularity waning in recent years, because it has become the same old same old. Maybe people just want something different. That's how they should market him. of course this is jmho. :)

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!{I kinda feel like Meg Ryan here LOL.} I couldn't agree more. I am sick and tired of the same old manufactured stuff. On radio it's like the same 15 songs are played over & over & over. I don't listen to much radio because I can't stand it. Taylor is such a breath of fresh air. And a lot of people have noticed. His music is from the heart & just genuine. It's not some guy in a suit who has a marketing degree but no clue. What Taylor does is real music. That has been missing for a long time now. It's refreshing.
