In an interview she was asked about who she wanted to win and she said they were both very good and she couldn't pick. I wonder if it was something besides the show.
Re Carrie's less-than-happy looks -- I noticed that as well, but it seemed to me that she looked mostly thoughtful rather than angry. I assumed she was having some sort of "That was me up there winning it last year" moment. Not surprising -- I think anyone would have that feeling, if only for a moment or two.
