Immaturity to a point but if she's been through therapy already trying to find herself then she's showing signs that she's fairly shallow.
I keep thinking how much better a voice Mandisa had and how much character she has compared to Twinkee McPhee. People will say that she had a bad week but let's face it, for a finalist Kat didn't have a surplus of signature performances, now did she?
And Taylor's shoes are to die for. Very sharp.
Sharp and unusual. He looks very comfortable with Leno.
Wolfstar, Leno is really funny so far. I think you're gonna like it!
Yeah. :)
The opening skit was really funny!
I agree. I just don't want to say too much and ruin it for others.
The Dixie Chicks' latest single is #709 on the Mediabase Pop Radio Airplay chart as of today. It had been on two stations when it debuted, lost them, and apparently was being played a bit on two more stations, but one already dropped the song.
In the meantime, Taylor Hick shows up with an unreleased single at #699 on the chart. It has two stations playing Taylor's rendition of "You Are So Beautiful" from the show (probably two of his hometown stations).
ROFLMAO! Taylor, with an unreleased single that isn't on any label beats the Chicks in radio airplay by 10 spots.
Oh, and BTW, Josh Gracin's new single is already at #25 on Mediabase's Country Radio Airplay chart. Josh, as most of us remember, was also not someone Simon Cowell appreciated. Simon didn't even remember Kelly Clarkson from the auditions phase during Season 1 (his favorite that year was Tamyra Gray). Simon never liked Clay Aiken. He never liked Josh, and he didn't like Taylor. I think I'm gonna listen more to Randy and Paula from now on. ;-)
I'm looking forward to seeing the show. I'm in Los Angeles, so have several hours yet before it comes on. Will DVR it just in case I fall asleep.
I know!! Hope I'm being appropriately vague!! :)
Thank you, jonny, for once again hosting an outstanding discussion on the American Idol's fifth season. It sure was fun, whether agreeing or disagreeing with folks on their favorites.
Same time next year?
How do you find out Taylor's schedule of appearances? Anyone know?
>>>She was asked if she would date any of the guys on the show and instead of being polite and saying some shit like they're my brothers, she said no to Taylor, definitely no to Elliott, and said she was never attracted to Chris.<<<
What an utter bee-yotch! I saw her earlier today on a FOX interview, and she rferred to Taylor as "the winner--I can't remember his name right now."
She's going to be one of the worst divas ever to work with--worse than Streisand.
Excellent post, Wolfstar. Thanks for the update and info. :)
OMG, Jonny, that is too funny!!! You have a gift for these things! Sitting here laughing my @$$ off ... and now I have the Gay National Anthem, "It's Raining Men," in my head!! Thanks, SJ .... :)
ROFL! That is too good!
Yes, retrokitten...there IS life after AI season ends.
Good for Taylor!! I understand from previous posts that he trademarked his name prior to auditioning. He seems like a very savvy guy. As for the Chicks...I don't listen to CW, but when you're asking yourself, "What Would Springsteen Do", I gotta figure something has really gone bad for those otherwise talented womeen.
You're welcome. I just listened to the studio version of Taylor's winner's single. It's good. Better than last year's "Inside Your Heaven."
If he trademarked his name before auditioning, that was very savvy indeed. The AI powers have tried to lock up just about all the rights to the top contestants for as long as possible, including rights to their own names. They also take 50% of the cut right off the top. The show is fun, but Simon Fuller and the others are about as greedy as it gets.
