Meanwhile, the Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau released details of a national poll conducted last week, showing the city's image hasn’t yet been tarnished by the constant negative publicity generated by the case.

Almost two-thirds of the people surveyed by Opinion Research Inc. said they hadn't even read or heard news about Durham in the past two weeks, and only 6 percent said their opinion of the city had declined recently.

The CVB plans to conduct more tracking polls in the coming weeks to continue gauging the impact of the ongoing case on the city's image.

If my view of Durham is in any way tainted, it sure as hell isn't because of the lacrosse team, I tell you that....

Was up in Pennsylvania for four days--very little talk of 'the Duke case' up there. (Meanwhile, I am exhibiting full blown signs of FR withdrawal!) Those that expressed interest were just grateful it was not the basketball team!
