Seriously, everyone's focused on Kim's amazing expanding story (she ain't no Clinton the more she talks the more she'll contradict herself) but I'm more interested in the 2nd DNA test. Question: Assume for a minute that Nifong is a straight-shooter and acting in good faith (hard not to laugh as I write this) why would he have indicted the two lacrosse players prior to getting the 2nd DNA test back? If the DNA is from players other than the two 100% ID'd players and the 90% ID's player, Nifong will either have to dismiss and charge someone else (essentially impeaching his his own eyewitness) OR stick with the charges and have the defense use the DNA to impeach his eyewitness. Have any of the pro-prosecution taking heads tried to explain this?
