I have seen many posts of those who are 'embarrassed' when the President makes verbal gaffes...........as though being silver tongued is somehow naturally attached to intelligence.
I call that elitism.

True, and ridiculous of them.
I can see why President Bush is compared to Truman, no Elitist or Rhetorician. Another comparison is Eisenhower...not politically, but personal qualities and style (or lack thereof, in terms of rhetoric).
