Is it just me or do I see the same pro-Miers crowd supporting this bizarre deal with a radical Islamic nation? They were wrong then; the next few days will show that they are wrong on this issue too.

If Bush came out and said that Iran is a great friend of the United States and Israel, the same crowd would line up behind him and find a way to make it true in their minds.

Many have fallen for a cult of personality - it is no different than those that would jump off a cliff or get down on their knees for Bill Clinton if he asked them to - it's just a different party. Conservatives rightly pointed out how dangerous that sort of attitude was then and thankfully most of us are still pointing it out now even though "our guy" is the one in power.

I can just hear it now.... Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a secret Bush Administration plant. His real name is Bob Quackenbush and he's an old buddy of George's from the Texas Rangers. In secret Oval Office meetings with Quackenbush in 2003 or 2004, George, Karl Rove, and Harriet Miers arranged for his ascension to the presidency under an assumed Islamic name so that he could funnel back to the White House intelligence gleaned while bar-hopping with the Ayatollah Khamenei.

Tell us just one thing...one thing that President Bush has let us down in terms of national security. And don't say close the borders because that's not reality.

President Cush has earned our trust regarding the economy and regarding keeping us free of attack since 9-11.

Why would he suddenly put us in more jeopardy? It's not him.
