Maybe, but Bush had best be revealing why he is outsourcing port security when we are paying zillions of dollars for dozens of state and federal agencies to do the job.

And how much faith can we have in a country of the Third World to defend our ports?

This is a bad move.

***revealing why he is outsourcing port security***

OK...
So Using your logic, what should we do about the "Port Security" that's been outsourced to the Chinese, Saudis, Germans, Brits, Norwegians, Kuwaiti's, Koreans, Malays, Greeks, Taiwanese and others for the last 3-4 DECADES????

He is not outsourcing port security. As I understand it port security will still be a responsibility of US and State agencies, including the Coast Guard, as it is now. However, from a political and strategic point of view the decision is dubious at best, resulting in the shipping of more US dollars to the playboy Sheiks of Arabi who pour petrol-fueled funds into jahadi linked enterprises to protect their backsides.
