Port of Entry

How would you feel if, in the aftermath of 9/11, the U.S. government had decided to contract out airport security to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the country where most of the operational planning and financing of the attacks occurred? My guess is you, like most Americans, would think it a lunatic idea, one that could clear the way for still more terror in this country. You probably would want to know who on earth approved such a plan -- and be determined to prevent it from happening.

Surely you mean post #36 where Dane was called an "OBL Shill"? Is that what you mean?

That's what Dane is, he didn't get the reputation from constantly pointing out the borders are as porous as swiss cheese.

Yeah? Share the list with all of us.

"In 1999, fines totaling $3.69 million were collected from 890 companies. Last year, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) collected $118,500 from 64 companies. But it levied zero fines. Zero."

A terminal operator isn't contracted to do port security.

the port operator is responsible for securing cargo coming in and out of the port, the port facility itself and the hiring of security personnel."

The steamship company brings the cargo to the terminal. The terminal operator takes the cargo off the ship.

Using DHS procedures the CBP, CIA, USCG, FBI, DEA, state and local police are responsible for securing the entire process from the foreign terminal of export to the import terminal in this country.

Liberals such as Chris Shays, who you are quoting from FOX speak and you Stellar Dendrite absorb it like a milksop. *sop*

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: MICHAEL HARRISON 26 OCTOBER 1999

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Duncan Hunter (CA-52) responded today to President Clinton’s veto of the Commerce, Justice, State (CJS) Appropriations bill which provides funding for the Immigration & Naturalization Service, the U.S. Border Patrol and numerous border enforcement projects.

Let's do a little math...

That was BEFORE September 11, 2001.

"I'm still waiting for ONE PERSON who is against this program to list ONE ACCURATE FACT about this program."

I'll summarize their arguments for you:

"Uh...9-11! F***ing ragheads running our ports! If you disagree with me, you're a traitor!"

There, how was that?

"Surely you mean post #36 where Dane was called an 'OBL Shill'? Is that what you mean?

Unbelievable."

Yeah, IT was "unbelievable."

You must have been...outta touch for awhile during the spring when a handful of FR OBL (Open Border Lobbyists) were supporting non-regulated, non-secured borders, and criticizing the Minuteman Project.

Would have loooved to have seen your reaction back then.

A reasonably clever infiltrator takes great pains to conceal his or her true allegiance.

Occam's Razor: Occam's razor is a logical principle attributed to the mediaeval philosopher William of Occam (or Ockham). The principle states that one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.

So, one one hand, stellar dendrite and ALL of us who do not sip the kool-aid from the "Cult of Bush" dribble chalice are all secret subversive DU Troll plants here to bust up a perfectly good Circle 'Bot, all just WAITING for this moment...

Or, BeHoldAPaleHorse, Dane, Pukin 'Bot and the others are clueless and not worth the phosphors neede for the monitor to read their drivel.

Hmm.....

To summarize, the UAE, a FOREIGN GOVERNMENT, will be responsible for hiring security for OUR cargo operations in OUR ports.

You think that the DHS, FBI, USGS, local and state police are sitting around waiting to be hired by the terminal operators?

LOL!

Well, OK...but that's not gonna do anything for your self-confidence. May I suggest a Dr visit for a little blue pill?

All I'm pointing out is that the facts of the case and the reporting of what's going on are at an extremly wide angle of divergence.

Also, it's worth noting that Frank Gaffney's outfit (The Center for Security Policy) gets all sorts of donations from various corporations, and that careful scrutiny of those donors is always of interest when he starts opining on any public controversy.

"Liberals such as Chris Shays, who you are quoting from FOX speak and you Stellar Dendrite absorb it like a milksop. *sop*"

uh, that quote was written by the author of the article and NOT attributed to shays.

"but the port operator is responsible for securing cargo coming in and out of the port, the port facility itself and the hiring of security personnel"

tom coburn and rick santorum are concerned about this issue as well, they are not liberals.

i wanted to post this in order to correct your information, and just like our encounter last time-- will be my last reply to you regarding this.
