I agree with you that hunting accidents are no joke, but the rest of your post is BS. This isn't newsworthy in the least, and certainly the timeline involved has absolutely no relevence. The press is pissed that they couldn't find out about this early on and slander the VP and later claim that they didn't have all the info or got their info from a source.

McClellan should say, "we aren't going to answer questions about the incident; it was an accident and it has nothing to do with government."

My gawd, the Vice President of the United States accidentally shooting someone is not newsworthy?

And another person says getting hit with birdshoot is not a shooting.

FR has entered the Twilight Zone on this one.

It is newsworthy and I don't have a problem with reporters asking questions and about the time line

BUT .. these pack of wolves in the WH Press were making fools of themselves with their line of questioning

They are acting like this was a terrorists attack and that the VP point blank pointed the gun at the guy and shot him .. which is NOT what happen

It is also safe to say that these nit wits know nothing about hunting
