"Are you one of those "theists" who accept evolution? "

No. I don't have to be either. You are evading the issue. Most people who accept evolution are also theists (in the USA they are mostly Christians). There is nothing in evolutionary theory that makes it atheistic. Or theistic. Theology isn't science. Science isn't theology. Science is not capable of examining the question of whether or not there is a God. That's a matter of faith. You want to make it a matter of science. That's your problem.

Sorry I missed your post.

It didn't get into describing that God that you envision being possible under an evolutionary scheme.

No one who might be a "theist" believing in evolutionary theory seems willing to discuss this/these God(s).

Why should I not assume that is because "theism" and "evolution" are incompatible? After all, my own analysis (and Carl Sagan's) indicates that it they are not possible finally to reconcile.

Science is not capable of examining the question of whether or not there is a God.

LOL. And yet they do it all the time.

It's the oldest lie there is -- that something living can be born out of something dead by the inherent physical properties of the thing itself and by other inert materials acting upon it.

Alchemy.

No God required.

Christianity and evolution cannot be harmonized. There is simply no way of doing it. And the stance from evos that the case is otherwise is largely made from a position of ignorance on the subject of Christianity. Most evos know soundbites about Christianity and danged little substance. To the extent that they feel themselves informed, it's because those informing them don't know scripture or don't take it seriously or both. But that's what happens when you seek to prove your case by using people presuming Christianity but not conforming to it. From point number one, evolution is in direct contention with Christian scripture. On every point thereafter, the same problem ocurrs - direct contention. The two are mutually exclusive.
And mutually exclusive things cannot be harmonized.

The attempt at harmonization by the evo crowd isn't an attempt at anything beyond making dissent and critical review go away.
