Actually, Buggsie, the existence of any transitional fossils -- and surely you'd admit there there are quite a few -- is a problem for special creation. Why should even one transitional exist? Were not all species (or "kinds" if you prefer) specially created, in their current forms? Creationism predicts zero transitionals, does it not? And if not, why not?

I agree; that's why I don't go for the foolish proposition that everything was created in its current form. Clearly, things have changed over time.
The question is, how much, how quickly, and by what mechanism? Darwinism, proposing slow, gradual changes over time is shot out of the water by the fossil record, leaving us to speculate either on some form of Punk Eek, or requiring us to look in a different avenue entirely.
