Funny thing is, while I prefer dogs to cats. cat's don't really lie. We have an ancient grouchy female cat; the main thing she has left is Attitude. She never leaves you in any doubt at all about how she feels (and whatever it is, she usually doesn't like it; she hisses at the weather).
Lying is something social animals do.
I also prefer dogs to cats, but have had a myriad of cats along with my dogs...my last cat, a big old Himalayan, acted more like a dog tho...he loved to ride in cars(which most cats dont like), he rolled over to have his belly scratched, he came when you called his name, and he seemed to prefer to have me feed him his special kitty treats one a time, like one might do with a dog..we just figured he was a dog, wearing a big fluffy kitty costume...
