Where have all the tourist gone?
Oh, here they are, on South Padre Island, Texas!
Padre is much better than Aruba.
Court date for the civil case is 5/17 for arguments before N.Y. Judge. Papers filed by both parties supposed to be on findlaw. Tacopina said according to poster I read on SM if he can't get the case thrown out for lack of jurisdiction, he would recommend the Sloots default.
That is so funny. My 21 year old granddaughter's nursing class wanted to go to Aruba for spring break. After listening to my rants she convinced the class to go to Padre.
I'm trying to help here.
South Padre TX looks very nice. Seems the folks like it too!! Good to see Aruban tourism hasn't improved.
THAT says a lot right there. Shows me that Tacopina is worried for the Sloots to the ACTUALLY FACE the suit on American soil.
"Papers filed by both parties supposed to be on findlaw."
It took me 20 minutes or more to dig thru to them. As of now, there are 17 pages of this, Kellys sig is on the last page.....tacopinas isn't there just yet, I guess

You did a good thing RR!!
here is the Findlaw search link with which I found the docs above......there are other hits here that eill interest us:

All I could get was the first paragraph and then JQK's signature. I couldn't get the document.
scroll down, then......on all pages, 1 - 17
:)
I did scroll down and it went from page 1 to 17 and nothing in between. I'm heading home now Survivor so I'll check on my home computer. CO
Excellent!
Looks like the weather is going to be very nice during spring break.
1 and 2 are the summons
3 thru last are the complaint
Kellys sig is on pg 2 and the last
text of pages is very slow to load using a dialup.......
Aruba ain't got nothin' on us!

The other interesting thing I found on SM was all the buzz about yesterday's post in Papiamentu on one of the Hate-Beth forums, got edited and then disappeared all together today. SM's think that one of the girls from Aruba named in the civil suit was paid $ 250,000 to forget about rape, drugs, photos, etc. I guess the reason Tacopina is trying to get people to contribute to that poor victim JvdS' defense fund is because pro bono doesn't cover bribes and payoffs of witnesses.
Speaking of Papiamentu, the Aruban newspapers are reporting that Judge Smid has returned his verdict on JvdS status as a suspect in NH's disappearance. He's given the prosecutor 1 1/2 yrs. to bring a case against JvdS or he will no longer be a suspect. Some good news for a change from the turd floating in the Caribbean off Venezuela!
A person on the beach that night...could it be the jogger?
Or maybe someone else we've never even heard about.
I saved an interesting post the other day...I'll go find it.
Wasn't expecting that, RGVTx! :)
Never heard about Padre Island.
I love it - keep US dollars here!
